Description:
One of our Emerald Lot from the old and Famous Swat Mingora Mine got held up in custom for obvious reason and reached Tucson while we were packing. Well, we have no plans for upcoming show in near future so I thought why not break it down into smaller lots and offer it various dealers rather than waiting for one big wholesaler. Material from this mine is not easy to get. Pakistan Army had to do a full fledge operation to take it back from the bad guys back in Last May 2009. This was one of the reasons I could not go to the mine as things were still tense. This material, unlike our new find, is much more mature. There has been no commercial treatment given to it. Even the oil is applied to the surface and not pressured etc. Most of the Lot is crystals and Crystal Sections. Most of the material is Rich green color. Some even better color than Muzzo.  Size is good as well. It is Transparent with medium to high inclusions so will mostly result in extra waste if you want a cleaner stone. It has not been treated and may want to enhance before finished product. I personally will not enhance and keep it natural as natural untreated emerald are becoming rare and rare. This is one of the reason Emerald from Pakistan fetch more dollars than Columbia and other regions where treatment is very common.
